What is walking and talking coaching?

Walk and talk outdoor coaching sessions combine the benefits of physical activity, fresh air and a connection with nature, whilst embarking on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. With the support and guidance of Rachel at your side, coaching gives you the opportunity to talk, explore and improve your wellbeing. Similar to walk and talk therapy, the distinct difference with coaching is it's positive solution based approach rather than addressing mental health concerns. Walk and talk coaching is an opportunity to step outside the confines of a room or away from a screen and take a moment to breathe and talk. I am pleased to offer this natural approach to anyone who lives in Benenden, Cranbrook, Tenterden and the surrounding villages who would benefit from coaching sessions outside in nature.

The outdoor 5 coaching sessions follow a similar structure to the content of the Personal Coaching package or the Nutritionally focused 5 session packages, however, the outside environment offers the addition of the following:

Here is what an outdoor session also offers:

  • The Coaching session is conducted while walking, encouraging light to moderate physical activity, promoting overall wellbeing. 

  • The pace of the walk is tailored to your comfort level ensuring you can engage in meaningful conversation while enjoying movement. Should walking be an issue, please contact me and an outdoor but seated option may be available. 

  • All sessions are in public spaces, such as a park or nature trail providing a calm backdrop and encouraging relaxation and mental clarity. 

  • Sessions will focus on your particular concerns or merely to boost mood and decrease stress. 

  • We may discuss goals or inspire a new sense of motivation.

  • We may focus on breathing exercises or focus on the surroundings, enhancing self awareness and a sense of being present. 

  • I am flexible and happy to adapt to what you may require. You may want to pause, or simply walk in silence for a moment.

*One off coaching sessions are available, however, please note that coaching is more suited to ongoing support as your particular concerns may not be fully covered in one session.
