Embrace the journey:

Life is a journey of constant evolution and growth. Along the way, we may find ourselves at a crossroads, questioning our direction and searching for deeper meaning and purpose. Whether prompted by major life changes, personal challenges, career change or simply a desire for something more fulfilling, the quest to find new purpose in life is a universal journey that many of us embark upon at some point. Embracing the journey involves self-reflection, exploration and being open to positive change and being open to this is your first step.

Step out of your comfort zone:

Finding new purpose in life requires an element of stepping into unknown territory. As a wellbeing coach in Cranbrook I offer clients a safe, judgement-free and confidential space to explore their wellbeing. Talking and sharing your story allows you to open yourself up to new possibilities. While the coaching journey may be challenging at times, it can also be incredibly rewarding and transformative. So don't fear the unknown but see it as an opportunity for great outcomes.

What really matters to you:

Coaching allows you time to reflect on what truly matters to you. Find what brings you joy and happiness or what you might like to try. It is important to explore your interests, passions, values and identity, identifying activities and experiences that align with these aspects of yourself, and allows you to gain clarity on what really matters and what you want to find new purpose in life.

Set meaningful but realistic goals:

Setting goals that are small and attainable are far more achievable and help you to remain on track. Meaningful goals can provide you with a sense of direction and purpose, motivating you to pursue your dreams and aspirations with passion and determination. Break these goals down into manageable steps, and take consistent action towards achieving them. If you are wanting a new career or to reinvent yourself, include this in your goals.

Practice gratitude and mindfulness:

Take a moment to reflect on what you are grateful for in your current life. It can help to write these down. Allowing yourself to be mindful of what might be holding you back from achieving current or future goals or the exploration of new possibilities can be much easier to solve once you are able to see these clearly.

Prioritize Self-Care:

Make self-care a non-negotiable part of your life. Despite perhaps feeling that you have no time, make it a priority to carve out a few minutes to nurture your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. This could be a short exercise routine or meditation, journaling, a hot bath, or simply enjoying a quiet moment alone, prioritise activities that recharge and replenish your spirit.

Reconnect or explore the unknown:

Take time to reconnect with others or the activities and interests that bring you joy and fulfilment. Whether it's painting, gardening, playing music, visiting with family or friends or volunteering in your community, rediscover the passions that light you up and bring you joy. If on the other hand you are not finding yourself enjoying the same things as before, then this opens the door offering you an exciting blank canvas to try something new. Embrace it!

Seek Support:

Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends, family, or social groups who can offer encouragement, guidance, and understanding as you navigate the challenges of self-discovery. Consider coaching as this can help you navigate the journey and provide additional support, strategies and guidance.
